electrostatic shrimpton engine

I have a new delco marine alternator and it will not put out any voltage. What am I doing wrong?

it is 100amps new and I checked all the wires. Everything looks good but it still will not charge.

Get a voltmeter and check battery voltage at battery and make a note of it ( say you got 12.25).Then put negative lead on an engine ground and take red lead and place on the output terminal on back of alternator This should have a 10 gauge red or orange
